At the Bullock Institute, every student has three mentors: one Academic Mentor and two Ministry Mentors who will be able to give you personalized ministry counsel and guidance. 

Learn inside the ministry context where you are serving right now!  Instead of attending a dusty classroom to primarily upload content, learn while you are in the field where you can instantly apply, test, and enhance your preparation to lead in real life situations.  (Students must serve in a Full-Time, Part-Time or Volunteer position/role.) This the model for medical doctors, plumbers, athletes, and is a MUST for ministry leaders. Classrooms alone are incapable to developing proven leaders, so we partner with churches and various ministry/mission organizations. 

Forget a check-list education.  Dive into a training program that is focused on developing your character and ministry skills, along with your knowledge.  

Traditional education can be helpful, but at BTI we want you to be "Day One" ready for leadership as you graduate.  That is why, unlike the classical ministry education approach, we focus on training you to not only grow your knowledge but to master skills and develop Christ-Centered character which will under gird your entire life and ministry.

Mastery requires more than an ability to write papers, memorize content, or take a test. At BTI, in partnership with your ministry leaders, we will build your competencies and prepare you with essential skills and principles to handle leadership challenges in the ministry effectively. 

Your assignments at BTI are designed to help develop your character, knowledge and mission-critical skills. Unlike traditional models, BTI uses both academic and ministry assignments, and mentors to guide and gauge a student's mastery of targeted competencies, not to score for a letter grade.  Once a student has mastered an outcome, that competency is completed.

You will complete assignments and, more importantly, develop and demonstrate the 12 overall ministry competencies at your own pace. BTI leadership anticipates students will typically take about 18 months to build all the competencies, but the timeframe could be shorter or longer depending on your experience, diligence,  and other time commitments.

One great frustrations for churches and ministries is recognizing that their pastor, ministry leader or new seminary graduate is not ready to lead on day one.  We equip leaders to be "Day One" Ready who have proven they are ready to lead.  We want every graduate to know that although they they may encounter a new challenge, they have mastered skills and experienced real life situations to be able to faithfully overcome those challenges and take advantage of new opportunities.
