About Us

The Bullock Institute started with a passion and goal to equip existing and future leaders with the knowledge, skills, and experience to thrive in their ministry context. We do this through conducting research to provide practical insight to those serving in the mission field, producing resources relevant to personal and organizational growth, and providing training and experiences that will equip Christian leaders in knowledge, skill, and character for positive impact in their own lives, homes, marketplace engagements, and churches.

For six years, Dr. McRaney served churches across Florida with the Florida Baptist Convention in the areas of evangelism and church planting. After that, Dr. McRaney served as the Executive Director of the Maryland/Delaware Baptist Convention with its 600 churches.

He has led conferences and training events from coast to coast.
He combines his passion for people with his wealth of practical, academic, and leadership experience to help leaders develop their character, skills, and effectiveness in their unique ministry context.

Harold Bullock – Chancellor

The Bullock Institute is named after Harold Bullock, serves as the senior advisor to the Bullock Institute and as the Chancellor of the seminary, Bullock Theological Institute. Harold devoted his life to equipping and training Christians and leaders for the local church, North America, and various parts of the world.

Harold served in the ministry for nearly 50 years and served as the Senior Pastor of Hope Church that he founded for over 40 years, an innovative church in Fort Worth, Texas. Hope began in 1978 with a vision to help with planting churches in the cities of the world. During the past 40 years, people going out from Hope Church have planted more than 100 churches. Hope is currently a congregation of about 1,000 in attendance.

Harold uses his experience as a researcher, author, conference leader, and local church leaders to share his ministry paradigms and wisdom from God’s Word and leadership. His transcultural principles for ministry assist leaders with helpful aids regardless of their ministry context.
